Who We Are
Here at A Helping Tutor, we want to give enrichment, support, and an inclusive community to low-income, immigrant, or ESL families through tutoring. Our services are open to grades 1-5, and it's 100% free.

How It Works
Register
Our form includes information about the language and other educational needs to ensure the best possible tutoring experience.
Get Matched
Based on your registration answers, we'll pair the student with a tutor that matches their needs from our team of over 300 volunteers!
Attend Sessions
Tutors will work with their students to create an academic help schedule with a personalized curriculum to best help their needs.
Grow
We hope that all students involved with our program grow academically and personally, pursuing their passions beyond classroom walls and building community.
Why A Helping Tutor
Our coordinators work closely with parents, students, teachers, and school administrations to understand the curriculum taught at school in order to develop services most beneficial for our students. Tutors then create individualized curriculums tailored to each student's needs and meet with them in a virtual one-on-one tutoring session at least twice per week.
